Jobs for you - Freshers

Hi,

Today, due to economic crisis, even the experienced people, the job holders, are not sure whether their job is secured or not and are finding it hard to get a suitable job inline with their experience.

In such a scenario, it has become even more difficult for the young graduates (Freshers) to find a job. Many of these Freshers today are just settling down on whichever job they get, irrespective of there educational background and skilled area. Like many, even I did the same mistake when I started of my career, but the time was not like what it is today.

The most important aspect you need to understand is that what you have presented and how you have presented yourself in your resume decides what type of job you will get and how soon you will get. This also depends on how tech savy you are, what you have highlighted in your resume like the key skills or projects that you did in your college, which are the sites you have signed in, which are the Consultant Agencies you contacted or getting calls from and so on.

To make your life easy, I have listed down few simple rules based on my own experience. I am preety sure that following these rules will definitely lead to your Resume being traced more by prospective employers.

Here are the rules:
1. Give the name of the job profile, that your are searching for, on the top of the resume or besides your name. For example, if you are searching for a Technical Writer job or Tester job, then put it on your resume as shown below.
Nandakumar.B.K on the extreme left side on the top of the Resume.
Technical Writer on the extreme right side on the top of the Resume.

2. Highlight your key areas and strengths. For example, excellent knowledge on Computers, proven testing skills, etc.

3. Give project details with a brief description on each project, mentor name, number of people worked on the project, which tools were used and such other details. It is very important that you mention details about specific achievements like finishing the project before time, receiving applaude from the mentors and etc.

4. While giving Education Details also mention the Certificate Courses that you did while studying.

5. Mention and highlight your innate abilities like tackling of a situation, leadership skills, ability to quickly understand technical details and resolve technically-related issues and such others.

These are the few things that I have listed down as per my experience that I have gained through job hunting. I am preety sure that following these things will definitely land you with a job sooner than your fellow competitors.

There are few job portals that I would like to list here

www.naukri.com
www.monster.com
www.jobstreet.com
www.fresherworld.com
www.indianfreshers.com
www.freshershome.com
